The default house (10 standard windows, 2 large windows and one 2-panel slider, Florida ranges) comes to $15,100 – $31,600. Florida Renovation Guide gives $15,000–$31,500 for a similar 10 + 2 + slider home (Florida Renovation Guide, ranges reviewed October 11, 2026); the calculator's range is wider because it uses each item's full range. On Angi's national vinyl range, 10 impact windows alone run $7,000 – $25,000 (Angi, October 19, 2026).

Why impact windows cost more
Angi says impact windows typically cost 25%–35% more than comparable standard windows, with the average prefab impact window at $1,800 and custom hurricane-rated bay or bow units near $10,000 (Angi, October 19, 2026). In Miami-Dade and Broward's High-Velocity Hurricane Zone, products need a Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance; Safeguard Impact, a South Florida installer, says that testing adds roughly 10%–15% to the installed price (Safeguard Impact (South Florida installer), 2026 guide). Treat that uplift as one installer's estimate.
Before you get quotes
- Count every opening, including sliders and French doors: Angi notes that a single broken window in a hurricane can change the pressure inside the house.
- Ask for the Florida Product Approval or Miami-Dade NOA number for each product, and the design-pressure rating.
- Confirm whether the quote includes permits, removal, stucco or trim repair and final inspection.
- Compare against standard windows with the window replacement cost calculator, or add every opening with the whole-house calculator.
